Student Life
Cultivating intellect, curiosity & community.
Queenwood helps her understand that to change the world, she must first know herself.
We believe purpose is shaped through connection, participation and belonging.
At Queenwood, student life invites a commitment to the service of others, alongside an expansive, international perspective that equips them to approach widening horizons with curiosity, confidence and joy.
Through struggle to the stars
“The school motto is Per Aspera ad Astra, through struggle to the stars. ‘Per Aspera’ precedes ‘ad Astra’ and so it is that strength and courage are necessary, for the highest and best are not attained without struggle…”

Character education & care
Respect, trust and a sense of belonging are essential for young people to grow, learn and flourish.
We have a strong culture which promotes positive relationships amongst staff and students. Students new to Queenwood often comment on the warmth and personal interest shown in them by their teachers and the impact this has on their learning and classroom experience.
Our K–12 Character Education Program provides an age-appropriate framework for forming virtues, attitudes and skills that shape a young person’s character and support lifelong flourishing.
Student extension & learning
Students bring a wide range of abilities, strengths and experiences to their learning, and effective learning and teaching responds to this diversity.
We emphasise thoughtful differentiation within the classroom, ensuring that all students are both appropriately challenged and well supported. For students needing additional guidance, our Specialised Programs team works alongside teachers and families to deliver targeted, individualised support.
Out of Hours Care
Our After School and Vacation care, delivered in partnership with Mosman Prep, offers busy families flexible, reliable care in a safe and nurturing environment.
Led by experienced educators, the program provides engaging activities, creative play and time to relax or complete homework, giving families confidence that children are well supported beyond the school day.
