Learn - Queenwood

The Learning Journey

Exploring big ideas with curiosity and empathy.

We challenge our girls to think curiously and critically, from their very first day.

Queenwood is an independent Kindergarten to Year 12 non-selective day school for girls that provides a well-balanced curriculum catering to individual differences.

We aim to cultivate in each of our students the knowledge, skills, and virtues that form the foundation for a life of thoughtful engagement, ethical reflection, and purposeful action. As they move through their years at Queenwood, our students are encouraged to exercise independence, make choices with intention, and discover the strengths within themselves.

Through our curriculum, character education, co-curricular and service-learning opportunities, we foster an inclusive and supportive community where every student can feel seen, valued, and connected. In doing so, students are inspired to stretch themselves, navigate the challenges of learning, relationships, and responsibilities, and develop the resilience and discernment that allow them not only to succeed but also to flourish, both within the Queenwood community and in the wider world.

Outstanding facilities and highly qualified staff - bringing out the best in every student

Exceptional facilities and expert staff support every student to discover and develop her passions and talents. Our educational approach combines innovation with evidence-informed practice, nurturing both creativity and critical thinking. Students can explore music, drama, debating and public speaking, visual arts and design, STEM and engineering, and robotics, alongside opportunities in sport and outdoor education.

Beyond the classroom, a vibrant co-curricular program, including House activities, ensembles, camps, competitions, trips, and excursions, ensures every student can engage with others, find challenge, connection, and joy. At Queenwood, learning extends far beyond academics, empowering students to grow in character, confidence, and skill and to flourish in all aspects of school life.
